In this set of material the reading passage was about evidences for recognizing a portrait of Jane Austen, and the listening passage was about a lecture by a professor about the reading which disagrees with the ideas mentioned in the reading passage.
According to the reading passage there is a painting that is not yet surely related to late Jane Austen the well-known writer of England that her novels has got real attractive for the Hollywood film makers lately; However, there are some evidences that maybe proves that it's Jane's portrait. The First evidence is a painting that her sister, Cassandra, not so professionally painted of her which they think it's similar to the portrait. The second evidence is her family's acclaim, her family believes that it's Jane's portrait. The third evidence is by the style of the painting, it was painted by Ozias Humphrey. His active time concur with Jane Austen’s teenage period, as the girl in the picture is a teenager.
According to the listening passage the professor disagreed with the ideas presented in the reading passage because of some reasons. First the family that acclaimed it was Jane’s portrait haven’t ever seen her because she died 70 years before of that time.
Overall, the ideas presented in the listening passage disagreed with the reading passage.
