Essay topics:

summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they cast doubt on the specific points made in the reading passage.

Online encyclopedias are one of the newest sources to the internet, the author starts with mentioning the drawbacks of online encyclopedias however the speaker disagrees with him by mentioning possible solutions.

The Author insists that such open resources that can be edited by anyone are inaccurate and lack academic credentials however the speaker thinks that it is not a huge deal since traditional encyclopedias are also inaccurate in many cases while also stating that in traditional encyclopedias errors might stay for decades but in online encyclopedias they can be edited easily.

Another reason pointed out by the speaker is the hacking/fabrication that might happen saying that a portion of information is protected by the read only format as well as mentioning that edits to these online encyclopedias are being monitored by special editors solving the fabrication doubts that the author have.

A unique feature that online encyclopedias have is unlimited space and providing space for everything without leaving anything out or focusing on thing on the other side traditional encyclopedias can't do that due to limited space and having limited space may lead to a false impressions on the subject.

To sum up, the speaker deny with the Author and shows that both of them have different point of views about online encyclopedias.
