TPO-02 - Integrated Writing Task In many organizations, perhaps the best way to approach certain new projects is to assemble a group of people into a team. Having a team of people attack a project offers several advantages. First of all, a group of people

The reading passage illustrates a fascinating topic pertaining to performance of working in teams and the advantages for the same. However, the professor refutes each of the authors claims and provides examples for each.
First, the reading passage posits that by working in a team, the task can be completed more quickly than it was being done by an individual seperately. It also states that wider range of knowledge helps in completing the task easily. However, the lecturer disagrees with the reading passage and claims only some of the people in the team work to their potential and others don't do significant work.In the worst case, some people don't even work a little. The recognition goes to the team as a whole and the real contributors to the work.At the same time ,the lecturer claims that the individual who does the major work is not rewarded for the work done by him and the credit goes to the whole team.
Second, the reading passage pushes forth the idea that people can take risky decisions while working in groups .Nevertheless, the professor rebutes this argument by saying that some people become domineering and make other people in the group to work according to the decision made by the head of the group. Some of the ideas given by the co-workers of the group are ignored although they were good. The fellow workers will be convinced to work on the idea given by the head of the group.when the project fails, the blame goes to the entire to the entire team and not the head of the group. So ,the lecturer claims that working in a group doesn't benefit in the broad sense.
Third, the reading passage says that the work is completed in a quick way while working in a group. However ,the professor disagrees with the claim and states that it takes long time to meet consensus.Different workers have different opinions and it is difficult for all of them to come to a common opinion.
In this way,the reading passage and the lecturer provides all the necessary information about whether working in a group is useful or useless and provides various reasons for their stance. The reading passage should include more information about the uses of working in a group and should address all the claims made by the professor to make the passage plausible.
