The article states that the portrait is not belong to Rembrandt the famous painter and provides three reason of support. However, the professor explains that this work is originaly painted by Rembrandt, and has been altered in about one hundred years ago by another person. She refutes each of aurthur's reasons.
First, the reading claims that there is a misconception of detail in woman's fur wearing that a servant could not possibly afford. The second artist may wanted to add value to the original masterpiece.
Third, the reading announce that the examination of the back of the painting reveals that the board is consisted of different wooden parts which glued together, which is not Rembrandt painting method. Professor opposes this point by explaining the glued parts were then added to the primary painting to add to its size and value.
