In view of the reading, the author argues that the different source has been guessed for the frog croaks sound which called quackers because of its Russion source for calling frog, by pointing out 3 reasons of support. Finding the statements questionable, the lecturer casts doubt on the claims made by the article and present evidence in contrary.
At first, the author argues that strange sound could be synced to whale which produced it during a courtship ritual. It is due to the fact that not only are the whales inhabited on this region, but also they can emit the sound like quackers when they try to attract a male. Conversely the lecturer brings up the idea that these whales are all in surface of the ocean but the submarine can detect only the deep one's. so this had been never happened.
In addition, the reading passage holds the view that the resource of the sound is giant squid owing to their complex brains which grant theeem the ability to create such this sounds. On the other hand the lecturer disputes this idea by clarifying the fact that this sound detected on 1960s to 1980s but the giant squid leave the ocean before that so, this never ever could occured.
Finally, the author asserts creating this sound by other military tech which were not vividly patrolling the area as the last point for supporting the source of the quackers sound. The lecturer, though, dismisses it by saying that this sound emit fast and move directly and there is no military technology to move such fast and also queit.
