TPO 36: Question: Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they respond to the specific points made in the reading passage.

The reading and the listening are both about a method of transforming clouds to fall rain or snow instead of hail pellets. Whereas the penman of the text suggests that cloud seeding is a suitable way for the problem, the orator states that there is no clear evidence to support the convenient impacts of could seeding on the clouds. The lecturer cast doubt on the main points made in the reading by providing 3 theories.

First of all, the writer claims, experts could gain a suitable result from the experiments in the labratory. The speaker views the issue from an opposite angle. she says, while it is compeletly possible to have fine observations in the laboratory, there are enormous facts in the real world that can change the condition.

The second point offered by the author of is that there are pieces of evidence from other countries about the same issue where it could solve the problem. Conversely, the lecturer believes that the situation in Asia was different from the present condition. Consequently, she adds that asian countries used this method in the urban areas which was full of pollution. Moreover, she mentions that, we can not make a decision about the farm-lands in the United states by focusing on results of clound seeding in another weather condition.

Finally, the reading passage states that, local studies show us a reduction in hail damage by using the same method. On the other hand, the professor thinks that there are initial differences among the weather of the places that we studied recently. Thus, she feels that other factors also affected on that decrease.
