TPO-44 - Integrated Writing Task

Both the lecture and the reading discuss the silver coin at a Native American archaeological site. While the reading states that the coin is fake in order to mislead the society, the lecture refutes each of the author's reasons.

First of all, the reading claims that the Native American site in Maine is very far from the place the coins were discovered. However, the lecture argues that there are many objects at a Native American archaeologist site that is brought from other far places. Furthermore, the professor states people from the state of Maine traveled great far away and they brought the silver back to Maine.

In addition, the reading makes the arguments that other valuable staff or coins did not discover in this site. The lecture counters this point by stating Norse does not a settlement in the special place. According to the professor, Norse packed up the coin and other valuable things to bring to the North.

Ultimately, the reading passage argues that Norse knew that he is travel to North America and the coins would be useless in this area. The lecture refutes this claim by pointing out that coins would not like money to the Norse but it was appealing because of the beauty. Moreover, the professor says the native North American used this coin as a neckless or jewelry.
