The passage suggests that there are many paleontologists doubt that Pterosaurs cannot fly. But the professor in the listening material does not think so. She think Pterosaurs can fly.
Firstly, the passage said that pterosaurs were probably cold-blooded and they may not have enough energy for them to fly. However, the professor suggests that pterosaurs did not need energy to maintain their temperature for they were cold-blooded. And then they can supply the energy fast.
Secondly, the passage said that the weight of Pterosaurs is too heavy to fly and its size is too big to fly. But the professor does not think so. She said that Pterosaurs had hollow light bones. So Pterosaurs' weight lower than giraffe's.
Finally, the passage said that Pterosaurs have no good method to take off from the ground. The professor argues that Pterosaurs do not need the elements what birds have for they are not the same as birds. The Pterosaurs launch themselves from other places while birds launch themselves from ground.
