The reading and the lecture both are about an ancient kind of reptiles that was able to fly. The writer of the passage do not agree on these idea and uses 3 reasons to reveal the problems related to the matter. However, the lecturer challenges the claims made by the author. He is of the opinion that may pterosaurs were capable to fly.
First of all, the reading argues about being cold-blooded animal which are not able to fly due to the fewer energy that they have in thier body. In contrast, The lecturer uses information of new discoveries that exposed dense covering body of fair and hair of the pterosaurs which assist them to gain energy and save it easier that other cold-blooded reptiles.
Secondly, according to the text, pterosaurs were big and overweighted animals that concluded to issues to start a flight. On the other hand, the Professor explain about the light weight and hollow bones of pterosaurs which was a possibility to them to begin flying.
Third, The passage showed results of weak and small muscles of pterosaurs to allow them to jump into the air. Conversely, the lecturer stands on differences between pterosaurs and other birds at the time of starting to lunch to the air. these specific bird walks on the limbs to push his weight on the ground. Thus it had no troubles to jump into the air.
