Tpo25- integrated writing
The reading discusses the reasons which disapproved the possibility of producing electric batterries by ancient people. First, the author states that the clays, found in Iraq, contain a copper cylinder around an iron rod which can represents that they were used to produce an elecrtric battery. The speaker expresses that it may be true that they weren't utilized for producing batteries, but the agreements described in the passage aren't valuable and convincing.
first of all, the article doesn't mention a considerable and determinig point. The lecturer points out that the clays found by local people not by the archaeologists, and they found other materials except the clay. So they maybe found something like metal wires but they threw them out. that's why the speaker believes that the first reason given by the author isn't pursuasive.
Furthermore, according to the article, some copper cylinders discovered in an antientcity near to the place where clays found that were used for holding scrolls. The speaker says it is true, but it isn't the sign of approving anything. She mentions that they maybe used for holding scroll at the first, but they adapted for another purpose.
Finally, the speaker says on the basis of magical power which ancient people had, and the ability of reliefing pain by utilizing batteries can answer the question asked in the passage. that's how the lecturer contracts the last agreement mentioned in the reading.
