The reading text and lecture are both about the what efforts the wildlife expert should take to save the Rhino from the Poachers. While the author proposes the three theory to save the rhino. At the same time, lecturer is disputes all these thories and states that these claims have some weakness.
First of all, the reading text suggests that, expert can dehorn the Rhino, which can make it unattractive to the poachers. It is also mentions that, this process is does not hurts the animal. In contrast to that, lecturer claims that, Horn is the very important for the survival of the rhino in the wild. Moreover, he states that, rhino use his horn to dig the hole in soil to find the water, navigate his small baby and lastly, to protect its territory from the other animals.
Furthermore, reading passage argues that, By educating the buyer of the horn, we can save the rhino population. However, professor opposes that view of the author and goes on to say that, it is not the effective way. When person is binding some ancient belief of the health benefits of the rhino horn, at that time it is became too hard to convince them to not use this horn. Because, person's old belief is more stronger than the, educator's thinking.
In the last, the writer posits that, If government will legalize the sell of the rhino horn , then It were effective to save the rhino. On the other hand, tutor does not supports this claim and said that, If government will do this then, it will became more hard to save the rhino population. Because, If government will do that, as a result of that the more people willing to horn, which are earlier have the fear of the illegal sale of the horn. Eventually, the demand of the rhino horns will increase drastically and resulted as the high price of the horn. This condition will promote the poacher to kill more rhino.
