The chart shows the percentage of male and female teachers in six different types of educational setting in the UK in 2010.
The bar chart demonstrates the percentage of teachers in both sexes in various educational places in the UK in 2010.
In nursery and primary schools females constituted the overwhelming majority of teachers (95% and 85% respectively) and only a minority of teachers were male. Moreover, in secondary schools men accounted for 45% of teachers and females were a bit more active in attending this educational place. In addition, in colleges the proportions of teachers in both sexes were equal to each other. Nevertheless, in private training institutes and universities men made up 59% and 70% of teachers respectively and these places were the only ones which males comprised the biggest proportion of teachers.
In conclusion, it is self-evident that genders of teachers had a pivotal role in the trend of their presence in different educational places. Besides, it can be seen that the older students got, the less female teachers they had.
