The bar graph illustrates how many vehicles owned by every thousand people in China over a 12-year period.
Overall, it is clearly shown that there was an increasing trend in the number of vehicle ownership in China from 1987 to 1999.
Initially, in the year 1987, there was only about 250 vehicles in one thousand people, which was the lowest number over the given period of time. However, it rose slightly to nearly 750 vehicles per thousand people in 1991, which showed an increase of about 500 vehicles. Interestingly, there was a sharp rise in the number of vehicles in one thousand people from 1991 to 1995. The number went up from around 750 to just below 2000, with an increase of approximately 1250 vehicles in one thousand people.
Last but not least, the number of vehicles per thousand people reached its highest point in 1999 with a figure of just above 4000. In other words, there was a tremendous rise in the number of vehicle ownership of approximately 2500 from 1995 to 1999.
