The tables below gives information on consumer spending on different items in five different countries in 2002.
The table below demonstrate the information about consumer expenditures on several categories or items in five countries in 2002. Given the information from the table showed the majority expenditures was spent on foods, drinks, and cigarettes. On the contrary, leisure and education were less interested to spend on and hold a minor interest.
As will be observed, Turkey was placed in the first rank in spending money on food, drinks and tobacco with 32.14% which was followed by Ireland as a second place (28.91%). And then followed by Spain, Italy and Sweden respectively. In term of clothing and footwear Italy hold the majority among consumer expenditures by 9%. However, Sweden was the lowest place among all consumer expenditures on clothing and footwear by 5.40%.
When it comes to leisure or education, Turkey once again has the highest number of expenditures with 4.35% Sweden and Italy hold almost the same percentage approximately 3%. And then followed by Ireland (2.21%) and Spain (1.98%) respectively.
The conclusion is that Turkey was almost excel in any countries on consumer expenditures with overall spending reached about 42% approximately.
