The three bar charts provide data regarding the number of years which are spent, in average, in schools, figures reveal specialists and expenditures on analysis and improvement in developing ad industrialised countries. Figures are presented for two years at a difference of a decade and the first one is 1980.
Overall, countries with an increased level of industry had bigger figures in both years, for all analysed elements. Moreover, figures increased in 1990 compared with 1980. On average, people spent approximately 2 years in schools in developing countries while 10 years later these figures almost doubled. On the other hand, in industrialised countries, which have far more schooling years, figures increased from 8.2 to above 10. The same trends were when it came about technicians and scientists per 1000 people, with figures varying from 10 and 41 in 1980 to 18 and 70 in 1990, respectively. Comparing to industrialised investments on research in developing countries decreased from 50 billions of dollars to almost a half.
