The above bar chart interprets the causes for adults for deciding to study. At the same time, the pie chart shows the proportions of the costs of adult education need to be shared among 3 types of stakeholders.
Having analyzed the given data, 40% of adults or in other words majority of them decide to study because they are interested in the subject. In contrast 9% of adults which is considered to be the minority who decide to study for meeting new people. 38% study for the purpose of gaining additional qualifications. Around 20% to 22% choose to study thinking while it will be helpful for their current job as well as to improve prospects of promotion, it enhances the enjoyment of learning. The reason for another 12% of the adults decide to study is, it helps to change their jobs easily.
Above being the reasons for deciding to study, they think the costs of their education need to be shared among a set of people in their circle. People think at least 25% of the cost should be bared by the taxpayer. On the other hand, their employer should be willing to pay 35% of the cost and balance 40% of the cost can be covered by the individual.
In conclusion, apart from gaining knowledge of the subject adults decide to study to enhance their career and for their self-satisfaction. Therefore they prefer to share the cost with their employers as well as the tax payer.
