In this set of materials, the reading states that some archaeologists think the coin that found is fake and brings up three different hyptheses to support. However, the lecture finds all the ideas wrong and believes that many scientists do not think they are not genuine and provides some evidence to refute them all.

On the contrary, the lecture contends that this reason not necessary proves this fact because Europian usaully pack up their coins and when they back to Europe they bring these packs entirely.
Finally, the author is of the opinion that the Norse knew about the useless of the coins in North America so there are not any reason for bring these coins with them. Conversely, the lecture explains that it is true that coins do not have use in North America but people of America value unusual objects and the coin was very interesting for them.
