do you agree or disagree?Imagine that a professor requires students to learn as much as possible about a subject in a short period of life, is it better for the professor to require students to work together in a group or alone?
Imagine that a professor requires students to learn as much as possible about a subject in a short period of life, now the question is whether it is better for the professor to require students to work together in a group or alone. Everyone with regard to his private features can maintain a specific direction toward this issue, however in my perspective, the advantages which teamwork will bring to us outweigh to working alone. My arguments and reasons are listed below which will strengthen my point of view:
To begin with, needless to say that being alone requires a lot of energy and time. It is plausible that you can avoid from overwhelming with several opinions; however let's try to observe other side of coin. Since there are some members in a group, this opportunity of sharing experiences and ideas will be created by members. As the old saying goes several hands will act better than one hand, consequently a group gives a chance to us to consider to other pros and cons of project.
The second reason why I advocate a group lies the fact of saving time. It is noticeable that the most striking factors in a group are an appropriate schedule and a leader who has a potential ability for dividing labor. One- who works alone- should, nevertheless, consider to mass of project. It goes without saying that a project requires numerous activities like searching for resources, selecting the best parts of resources, translating, interviewing with famous professors or other person, going to institutions and companies for getting information, editing and final evaluating and presenting in the class; hence the role of group in cooperation and participation and saving time will be clear here.
Besides all these arguments, I am inclined to provide a bit of different point. Working in the group can improve interpersonal skills' of members. Take for example a shy person who is forced to work in a group; spontaneously he has to connect with other people in this way. Gradually this man will be able to optimize his personality; consequently this is another benefit of teamwork.
By taking all above mentioned arguments, this conclusion could be drawn that a group due to attendance of different people with diverse backgrounds will be worthwhile because it not only can reduce waste time and selfish feeling, but also it is able to affect on students' function in class in providing creative ideas.
