The table compares the percentage of market share among different mobile phone manufacturers in the world in 2005 and 2006.
Overall, Nokia accounted for the largest percentage in the market. From 2005 to 2006, the market share of Nokia, Motorola and Sony Ericson saw a slight increase, in contrast with other companies.
In 2005, the percentage of market share of Nokia was 32.5%. This figure rose up to 35% in 2006 and remained the largest figure among all. The market share of Motorola saw a significant increase, form 17.7% in 2005 to 21.1% in 2006. The year 2006 also witnessed the increase of the market share of Sony Ericson, this figure grown to 7.4% in 2006.
In contrast, the market share of other companies declined. This figure for Samsung company fell from 12.7% to 11%. There was a decrease in the proportion of market share of LG and BenQMobile, from 6.7% and 4.9% to 6.3% and 2.4% respectively. This figure for others manufacturers went down by 3%, to 16.2% in 2006.
