It is evident that while the numbers of visitors came to festival and art gallery decreased, there was upward trens in the figures for pavillon and pier. Additionally, the percentage of people visited art gallery experienced the most notable change.
In 1980, the percentage of tourists visiting pavillon was 23% then dramatically increased to around 50%, which was the highest figure in 1995. However, in the next 15 years it gradually fell and stood at 31% in 2010, slightly higher than festival. Visitors to the pier fluctuated from 1980 to 2010 then increased by 2% in 2010.
In 1980, the most popular Brighton attraction for visitors was festival, attracting 30% of the tourists. After that, the number of those attending festival decreased marginallyto 28% in 2010. In 1980-1985 period, the figure for Art gallery increased significantly to around 38% which was its highest point during the search period before falling substantially to under 10% in 2010. It was, therefore, the least popular attraction at the end of the search period.
