The line graph illustrates the amount of fish and some kinds of meat which people in a European country are consumed from 1979 to 2004.

Overall, the consumption of beef and lamb decreased gradually, while there was a significant increase in the figure for chicken. In addition, the consumption of fish is lowest all most time surveyed.

In 1979, the amount of beef which was consumed was about 220 grams per person per week. The figures for chicken and lamp were lower, at under 150 grams and exactly 150 grams respectively, while the consumption of fish was only about 60 grams. In the period from 1979 to 1990, the consumption of fish always remained about 50 grams, while there was a gradual decline in the consumption of beef and lamb, which fell to about 180 grams and over 100 grams respectively. By contrast, a European country saw a dramatic increase in the amount of chicken was eaten, at approximately 200 grams.

In 2004, the consumption of chicken was highest. Around 250 grams of chicken was eaten, compared to about 50 grams of lamb and about 40 grams of fish, while fish was the lowest consumption, at under 50 grams per week was consumed by a person.
