The graph shows typical levels in enthusiasm, confidence and ability of students attending a ten-week IELTS course.
Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below.
The graph compares the progress of students in three factors in percentage after spending ten weeks at an IELTS class.
In the first week, students began the class with the highest proportion of enthusiasm while that of confidence and ability was very low. Over the 10 weeks of the course, the rate of confidence went up and reached its highest peak at week 10 whereas there was a considerable decline in the figure for the two other factors.
In week 1, students were very enthusiastic about the class since their figure of enthusiasm was 100%, which was the most striking point while their confidence and ability were relatively low, about 25% and 20%. In the next five weeks, the proportion of enthusiasm witnessed a tremendous fall to about 50%. On the contrary, the patterns of ability remarkably grew, which was over 70% and that of confidence also slightly increased, which was over 30%.
In the last week of the course, there was a significant growth in the pattern of students’ enthusiasm and ability, which was about 81% respectively. By contrast, their confidence went up and declined dramatically to nearly 30%.
