A family member is coming to stay with you. He/she will be arriving by train in the morning, but you won’t be home until the evening.
Write a letter to your relative. In your letter:
explain arrangements you have made for them to have keys and get into the house
tell your relative how to get from the train station to your house
say when you will be home and suggest what you could do together that evening
Dear Sarah,
I am writing to inform you I will not be able to meet you at the train station. However, I have made all arrangements to make you arrival convenient. A set of keys to my house I am going to give to my neighbor Mrs. Smith. She usually spends all day in her garden; so, you may take the keys from her. There are three keys and the biggest one is used to open the entrance door. The lock has a secret and to open it you will need to turn it once on the left and then three times on the right.
You can get to my place by public transport. In front of the train station, a bus stop is located, you should take a bus number four and then get off at the fifth stop. When you left the coach, you should turn around and my house will be right in front of you. Another way to get to the destination is to take a taxi cab but this ride may cost you a small fortune.
I will return to the city at 10:00 pm on the day of your arrival. On my way home I will purchase a tasty pizza and some wine. So, we will have a decent dinner. Then if you want, we can watch your favorite movie on DVD.
See you soon.
Your brother Eugene.
