The bar chart shows British Emigration selected to destinations between 2004 and 2007. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting and make comparisons where relevant.
The given bar chart compares the number of British people who migrated to Australia, Spain, New Zealand, USA and France from 2004 to 2007.
Overall, it can be seen that while Australia and Spain were the most preferred destinations, the remaining three nations remained the least popular terminals for British folks.
As regards Australia, 2004 stood at around 42,000 travellers, followed by a slight drop to approximately 39,000 tourists in 2005. Despite falling, there was a dramatic growth, rocketing to just over 50,000, the figure being the highest total of the term. However, there was a considerable slid to about 44,000 in 2007. With regard to Spain, having held unaltered at relatively 33,000 in the first two years, there was then a gradual decline to around 38,000 in 2007, slightly higher than the 2004 and 2005.
In contrast, the remaining nations experienced an opposite pattern. New Zealand beginning with around 23,000 sightseers in 2004, there was a steady fall to finish the period at 20,000. Regarding the USA, it witnessed some fluctuations from 23,000 to just below 20,000 from 2004 to 2007. As for France, having started at about 22,000 in 2004, there was a rapid swell to 33,000 in 2005, the remaining span then saw a sharp dip to 18,000, which was by far the least sum and almost three times lower than the topmost figure (50,000).
