The diagram below shows the stages and equipment used in the cement-making process, and how cement is used to produce concrete for building purposes.
The given diagrams illustrate the steps and tools used in the production of cement and how cement is used to manufacture concrete for the construction of buildings.
Overall, the manufacturing of cement requires different compositions like limestone, clay, and other materials. However, the production of concrete can be done with the help of materials like cement, water, sand and gravel.
Initially, limestone and clay is crushed together by the crusher to form powder. Secondly, the powder is passed through the mixer. Thirdly, the outlet of the mixer is connected to the rotating heater where a certain amount of heat is supplied. After that, the powder is grinded by the grinder. Finally, the cement is obtained which is then packed into bags.
As can be seen on the diagram of concrete production, initially a small proportion of cement (15%) and water (10%) is mixed and sent to the mixer. Then, a ratio of sand with 25% as well as a large portion of gravel with 50% is supplied to the concrete mixer. Finally, the concrete mixer is rotated with a certain speed to form concrete.
