The column chart illustrates the yearly rate of GDP growth in three selected countries over a period of 3 years, starting from 2007.
Overall, there was an upward trend in the proportion of GDP growth in Japan, while the opposite was true of the figures for Tunisia and Ecuador.
In 2007, the percentage of Tunisia stood at over 6% in comparison with that of Japan, at only two percent. However, Japanese yearly rate of growth doubled in the next year, whereas the Tunisia’s GDP growth declined to just over 4%. At the end of the period, the figure for Japan reached a peak at approximately 6%, which was twice as much as that of Tunisia, at 3%.
Starting at roughly during the first year of the period, the percentage of GDP growth in Ecuador rose to 4% in 2008, followed by a significant decrease to just over 1% one year later. This figure soon recovered in 2010, at about 2%, which was the lowest among three countries.
