The given bar chart illustrates the different modes of transport which people used to travel and go to work in European city during the period from 1960 to 2000. What stands out from the given bar chart is that the number of people who traveled by car was the highest number in 2000 whereas it was the lowest number in 1960. In the first glance of the bar chart, the percentage of ordinary people went on foot at 35%, as opposed to the bottom of the list which was traveled by car at 5% in 1960. However, the number of people who choosed bus was ranked at the first position at 25%, compared to the last place which was the number of people went on foot at 15% in 1980. Subsequently, car became the most popular transportation in 2000. The percentage of people who traveled by car was nowhere as high as it was by bike in 2000, at 35% and 5% respectively. In general, the number of people who traveled by bike was not quite as high as it was on foot, at 20% and 15% correspondingly. Finally, Top of the place was for people who traveled by bike, which was 20% higher than it was between 1960 and 2000
