TPO-01 - Integrated Writing Task
The reading and the lecture are about 4-day employment. Whereas the reading states that it benefitial for companies and employies, the lecturer suggests that it is harmfull for both of them in long run. The lecturer casts doubts on the cliams made in the article by providing a couple of reasons.
First of all, the reading contends that 4-day employment raise companies' benfits. However, the lecturer refutes this argument. He points out that it does decreases benefits because more people should work for company and more employies means more money for medical insurance and training. Furthermore, he mentions that more employies need more place and computers.
Secondly, according to the article, this concept reduces unemployment rate. Nevertheles, the lecturer disputes this point. He believes that companies will expect more from these employies.
Finally the reading claims that this kind of employment increases life quality. The lecturer, on the other hand, posits that this sort of employment causes several risks such as job stabality reduction. He puts forth on the idea that 4-day employment causes people not to be promoted.
In conclusion, the reading and the lecture are about 4-day employment. But the lecturer effectively chalenges the reading.
