Nowadays, many families migrate to other countries due to employment. Some people say it benefits the children of immigrants’ families. Other say it is more difficult for the children of these families.
Discuss both views and give you opinion.
Every year around 1 million population all over the world migrate from one place to another due to employment opportunities. Some say that it has positive effect on young adults others think it has negative repercussions.
One of the benefits I can see is children can acquire advance and free education. Many western countries are now offering quality education like Finland, Germany, France. Even countries like Germany not only providing excellent education service but also giving scholarships to those who cannot afford tuition fee. Many new legal migrants take the full advantage from this opportunity by getting admission for their children which they might not be able to get in their original countries. This does not only help migrants to hold their foot in a new homeland but also giving free access to school for many children.
On the contrary, children might not be able to adjust themselves in any new hometown. One of the reasons is they are living in a place where they have childhood friends or they have any emotional attachments with their extended families like grandmother or grandfather. For instance, one of my friend recently moved to US with her two children as she was employed in one of the US company. One of them is happy and luckily now employed in a reputed company. Though, another child had become homesick and he started taking drugs. When my friend came to know about his habit she was really upset and now she moved back in her original country. Thus, moving to a new land might have adverse effect on children.
In conclusion, both side has the arguments about positive effects and the drawbacks too of migration. I recommend that parents need to analyse the conditions of individual children whether they are able to adjust in new country by having a smooth conversation.
