you work for an international company, and would like to spend six months working in its head office in another country.
Write a letter to your manager. In your letter
Explain why you want to work in the company’s head office for six months
Say how your work could be done while you are away
Ask for him/her help in arranging it
Dear Sam,
I am writing this letter to show my intentions to work at company’s headquarter in London for next six months. I have been working here for past 6 years and I have gained diversified experience including quality assurance, systems and processes, customer insights analysis and most importantly product development. I am interested to work on a project named “ Project Automation” . Project scope is around automation of routine manual tasks such as such as maintaining excel sheets and filling lengthy forms. I think myself capable of working in that project in the capacity of project manager and would like to utilize my expertise for successful project execution. I am looking forward to experience the extended exposure and visibility by working at the head office.
During my absence, I have aligned Mr. Kim to handle my tasks; so that routine work do not get affected. Furthermore, I shall be available remotely for any urgent discussion or query. I request you make required arrangements in this regard such as securing management approval, accommodation arrangements and intimations to project team at the headquarter.
Expecting your swift and outright response.
Yours Faithfully,
Lene
