You live in a room in college which you share with another student. However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it very difficult to work.
Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In the letter,
• describe the situation
• explain your problems and why it is difficult to work
• say what kind of accommodation you would prefer
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to inform you about the issues faced by me due to my roommate. It has become quite inconvenient to get my job done due to this.
I live in room 421 at the college dorm. The student that I share my room with constantly throws loud late night parties. This leaves the house is complete disarray after the get-together concludes in the morning. Moreover, the cacophony makes it almost impossible to work and complete the work assigned to me. Furthermore, the unhygienic conditions coupled with my roommate's irregular cleaning patterns of the common area leaves me disheartened to reside at my accommodation.
I would prefer the single room accommodation wherein I do not have to share the living space with another person. Alternatively, I could stay with my friend in room 420 whose roommate recently graduated and vacated the premises.
Hoping for a quick and favorable response.
Yours sincerely,
Praneet K Nadar
