Although you have never formally studied computing, you have always been interested in computers. You have just read about a computer course that really interests you, but it is only for people who have completed an elementary course.
Write a letter to the college enrollment officer. In your letter
• explain why you are writing
• describe your circumstances
• ask if a special exception can be made for you so you can enroll in the course
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter regarding your advertisement about a computer course which I have noticed in a newspaper. I am specifically interested in enrolling to the course being offered by you but, in particular it is only for people who have completed an elementary course.
I am ardent follower of technology which made me to build up an extensive computer reference library. As, I have never studied computing formally, due to lack of financial support where I discontinued my graduation. However, I taught myself many computer programming course and databases such as J-Query, SQL-query, Micro-soft spreadsheets and mostly scripting. Also, taken reference from many e-learning sites and tutorials which gave me ease.
I request you to consider my interest towards computing moreover, treat it as special exception. So that I can enroll for the course. As, I do not have any certificate for the knowledge I gained myself in the elementary course. I am ready to come for an interview to prove my technical knowledge in computers. It will really help me to find a relevant job in computing.
Hope to hear from you soon.Kindly do the needful.
Yours Sincerely,
John
