The chart shows information about how much land was forested in various regions of the world in millions of kilometre.
The greatest increase was seen in Europe, rising from 989 million hectors in 1990 to 1001 in 2005. Next comes South America which was 2nd highest in the ranking with 882 million hectors forested land in 2005. But that was far higher in 1990 with 946 lands per hector. Then again a decreasing trend was seen in North America from 708 to 705 million hectors forested land between 1990 to 2005 which was very slight in comparison to the falling trend of other nations.
In Africa, also a lower trend was observed in forestation with 5 years gap from 749,709,691 million hectors in the year 1990,2000 and 2005 respectively. Whereas a rising trend was observed in Asia from 576 to 584 in hectors in the following year and in the last, Oceania had the lowest forested land which was 10 times smaller than Europe with only 197 million hectors in the year 2005.
Overall, Europe had the vast region of forested land compared to other nations.while Oceania had the smallest land forested per area than other continents.
