You live in a room in college which you share with another student. However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it very difficult to study/work.
Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In the letter:
describe the situation
explain your problems and why it is difficult to study/work
say what kind of accommodation you would prefer
Dear sir or madam,
I am writing to explain my situation regarding my stay at college dormitory. I have been sharing room together with other student since September. Unfortunately this arrangement does not go that well, it has been very difficult to study while living in the same room.
Firstly, studying in the room became almost impossible, my roommate often has many visitors during evenings and they make a lot of noise. I experience disturbance that does not let me to concentrate on my studies. Recently, I did not pass my exam because tree days in a row my roommate was partying and listening loud music. Moreover, when I go to sleep he stays awake for some more hours. Often I feel tired in the mornings because of noises during my sleep.
I kindly asking you to transfer me into private room, where I would not be disturbed by other roommates and I could spend my time studying more effectively.
Best regards,
Lina
