The given chart shows the information which is about the percentage if household in purchased and rented house in England and Wales between 1918 and 2011. It is clear that ration of rented accommodation was dominant until 1961. However, proportion of owned house went beyond after 1981.
At 1918, the rate between owned house and rented house was the largest through all given years which is little under 80 percent for rented house and little over 20 percent for owned house. But the proportion of household in owned accommodation kept rising while rate of rented house decreased or stayed still.
At 1971, the number of people in owned house and rented house was same. After 1971, owned house rate took the majority and rate had increased until 2001. Opposite to that circumstance, rate of rented house had decreased until 2001.
However, in 2011, the rate of rented house increased while the rate of owned house decreased even though tha majority maintained.
