The line graph compares the changes of three different types of food and the consumer-price index from 1979 to 2009.
Overall, it is clear that price of three food product groups increased, although there were fluctuations. Only the fresh fruits and vegetables rose significantly higher than others and consumer-price index in the general.
All the lines on the graph have the same starting figure in 1979. Over the period, the consumer-price index rose steadily from over 50 from 1979 to approximately 210 from 2009. It was illustrated the same trend with the prices of sugar and sweets and carbonated drinks. Despite the increase of them, they were consistently under the consumer-price index after 1897. Although there were many minor fluctuations before 1987, the number of sugar and sweets was 200 from 2009, higher than the price carbonated drinks was above 150 at the same time.
The fresh fruits and vegetables rose sharply after 1989. From the same period with other figures, it was about 60 at the beginning and finished at approximately 330 higher than the consumer-price index in 2009.
