You are going to another country to study. You would like to do a part-time job while you are studying, so you want to ask a friend who lives there for some help.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter,
give details of your study plans
explain why you want to get a part-time job
suggest how your friend could help you find a job
Dear john,
I hope this letter finds you in radiant health and to the best of spirits. You will be glad to know that I have got admission in 'Rhode Island University' for Masters of Computer science and I am arriving USA on 1st of August. I am writing this letter to seek your help in getting some part-time job there during my course of studies.
My semester will start on 15th of August, so I have some time to get familiar with the lifestyle and locations around. It is a three years program and Fortunately, My student visa gives me an opportunity to work along my studies. As you know I have done bachelors in computer science, hence this qualification would be enough to grab a good job. I want to do part-time job so that by the time my studies complete, I have some experience and could find a better job later.
I have enclosed my updated curriculum vitae with this letter. Please share it with your colleagues and friends in other companies. You can even post it to local employment agents. This would be a great help to me.
I hope you will try your best to get me a job. See you soon.
Warm Regards
Harry.
