On a recent holiday you lost a valuable item. Fortunately you have travel insurance to cover the cost of anything lost.
Write a letter to the mamager of your insurance company. In your letter
• Describe the item you lost
• Explain how you lost it
• Tell the insurance company what you would like them to do
Dear Sir/ Madam,
I’m writing you with regard to a claim on a valuable wristwatch that I have lost during my holiday to London. I have purchased a travel insurance policy bearing no: 456 UK on 20th of May 2019 from your organization before I leave to London, which provides a cover for any item lost.
The wristwatch brand was ‘Rolex’ and it was a silver colour gent’s wristwatch with blue colour dial. I have lost it during the visit to Yorkshire, by train. As I remember, I have removed it in the rest room at a railway station which is situated between Yorkshire and Cardiff.
Therefore, I would like to claim for the loss I incurred by the misplacement of my wristwatch. I have attached herewith the copy of the complain that I have made in the Yorkshire Police Station on the loss of my wristwatch and a copy of my insurance policy together with the copy of the receipt of my wristwatch from ‘Walmart Stores’ in New Hampshire.
I appreciate your kind consideration on this regard at your earliest, since I need to purchase a new wristwatch soon.
Thank You
Yours faithfully,
K.C.K Peiris
