The graph below compares changes in the birth rates of China and the USA
between 1920 and 2000.
The provided illustration shows the comparison of birth rates in China and the USA every five years from 1920 to 2000. As is observed from the graph, both of countries had high rate in period 1920-1950 and then decrease slowly from 1955 to 2000.
The birth rates in both USA and China were increasing slightly in 1925. However in 1935 birth rate in China was higher than USA. In 1940 birth rate in China decrease significantly to 5 and maintain the same level in 1945. In the other side birth rate in USA fall to 5 in 1945. In 1950 both of countries had climb dramatically. China reached the peak of birth rate at 20, indicating the amount of babies in China born critically. In the next five years the birth rate in China reduce sharply, when the birth rates in USA reduce slightly.
In conclusion, it can be implied that the birth rate in China was under the USA so far after 1955, whereas China’s birth rate has a dramatic growth in 1945 to 1950
