The given line graph below compares changes in the proportions aged 65 and 65+ in over century starting 1940 in three countries Japan, Sweden and the Unite State.
In general, from 1940 to 2000, Japan had the lowest percentage of elder people in the chart. However, in the last 40 years, on the whole the rates in three countries are predicted to climb. Moreover, the figure for Japan will be highest in 2040 compared to the remaining.
To begin with the first 60 years from 1940 to 2000, there was a true that the amount of the old people in Japan, which was less than that of in the two remaining countries at 5 percent in 1940, subsequently, the number went down gradually by nearly 2 percent in the present. At the same time, Sweden and the USA had a similar upward trend at slightly over 15 percent and almost 15 percent respectively in 2000.
Turning to the remaining years period, the whole three locations are forecasted to increase in residents who aged 65 and over, especially Japan will take off from 10 percent to 25 percent before reaching a peak of below 30 percent between 2020 and 2040. At the same time, Japan will be followed by Sweden and the USA at more than 25 percent and well under 25 percent respectively.
