The line graph given illustrates the information about how many complaints made to the noise by four categories, namely road works, factories, traffic noise and household to Environmental Health authorities in the city of New town over the course of 16 years from 1980 to 1996.
In general, the noise in the city made from the household had a downward trend while the figure for others witnessed an opposite pattern.
In 1980, the domestic household complained the most about noise while just only 500 complaints made by working on the road. Moreover, the factories received 400 reviews, higher than domestic by 100 complainants.
Over the 16 years, road works and traffic noise showed a similar pattern of increasing the number of complaints. Both of them decreased considerably by 100 comments from 1980 to 1988 before soaring in 1996, approximately 1200 feedback of the road works and 600 this of traffic noise, respectively.
On the other hand, there was significant growth in the figure for the complaints, the noise of factories in 1982, around 600 before it fluctuated slightly until 1996, just under 700 reviews. Meanwhile, the number of complaints generated noise of the household decreased sharply in 1996, around 100.
