It is clear in the chart that both countries had the nearly equal amount of land at 2010, with more than 100 thousand hectares.
At the year of 1985, country A and country B shared a same start point. Just after 5 years, the first country saw some slight improvements, around half a hundred thousands at 1990. In contrast, the remaining country had its land stabilized until 1995. At this year, the 100 thousand hectares mark was surpassed by 2 countries.
To the next period of 5 years, country B experienced a heavy leap, even really close to the mark of 300 thousands. That was almost double compared to the last 5 years of its own and the remaining country at that same time. However, the year of 2010 observed a sharp fall in terms of area mass by country B, with a loss of more than 200 thousand hectares of land. Meanwhile, the other one suffered some small oscillations, but still couldn't reach the mark of 200 thousand hectares.
