Rambrandt painting
The speaker contradicts the passage points with regards to three different point’s coat details, shadow mistake and third is wood panel. The passage strongly denies that the painting does not belong to Rembrandt painter because of aforementioned reasons.
Firstly, speaker points out that, as per the passage women from painting was poor and she is wearing coat and great painter like her will never do this big mistake. However this, according to the him, is a misconception. In reality, he explicates that fur coat was painted later on main painting because pigment analysis and X-ray images proved that color used for painting was of different time period. Thus, he unequivocally negates the information given in the passage.
Secondly, he opposes the information given in the passage regarding light and shadow as well. he clarifies that in practice, coat was painted later and if we remove coat from painting we can clearly see that she was wearing simple cloth and that illuminates proper light of facial expressions.
Thirdly, he denies the validity of another point that wooden panel made by attaching wood pieces was not style of painter because she used uniform wood for her other painting. With regards to this point speaker contradicts that like coat the extra wood panel was attached to the original painting to preserve the painting. according to speaker there is original wood panel bellow existing panel. this was same as other single wood of painting.
Hence in conclusion, the speaker lucidly substantiates her point of view with cogency and states that addition of coat and extra wood panel was added to increase the value of painting.
