The line graph outlines energy consumption in the USA from 1980 to the present day, with further projections up until 2030.
The graph below compares the energy consumption rate by six types fuels in USA since 1980 and its estimation till 2030. Fuels which were reported consist of petrol and oil, coal, natural gas, nuclear, solar/wind and hydro-power. Units measured by quadrillion.
As it can be observed petrol and oil fuels have the most consumption rate from 1980 until 2030 (35-50 respectively), opposed to hydro-power fuel which have the lowest consumption rate among fuel in both 1980 and 2030 (around 3-2.5).
Based on the graph, nuclear and solar/wind fuels have experienced slowly increasing rate (3.5-7 respectively and 3.5-around 6). Also, it should be noted that coal and natural gas both, together have enjoyed an increasing consumption rate which coal proportion rises from just over 15 to just under 30, whereas natural gas consumption rate after three falls and rises from 20 reaches almost 25, a rises about 5 in comparison with coal which was almost 15.
It is also interesting that renewable fuels have a little progress in comparison with fossil fuels which experienced more energy consumption rate.
