Dear Mr. Smith,
I am writing with regard to some of my belongings which I had left at your hotel.
I am one of the participants in the seminar held at your hotel the previous week. After returning home, I noticed that I have forgotten to bring some important documents. because I was in a hurry to get my flight on time, I did not go back to my room and left the hotel from the meeting hall. So, I guess that they will be somewhere in the conference room.
These papers are crucial for me because not only are they the original drafts of my essay and I have written all the details there, but also i have not published their in any journals yet. Hence, it is vital for me both professionally and financially to find them before anyone abuses them.
I would be extremely grateful if you could ask your staff to check the meeting hall. Provided that they find them, please give me a favor and keep them, I will come by myself to get my papers. I hope that my request does not cause you any inconvenience.
I look forward to receiving your response.
