The bar chart shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activities in 2010.
The bar graph depicts information about the percent of Australian population who took part in physical activities frequently in the year 2010. The population was divided into 6 age groups and each age categories were further divided into male and female for illustrating the result.
Overall, it is evident from the graph that female who were involved in physical activities were higher in proportion compared to male counterparts in almost every age group (with exception of age group between 15 to 24 years) of the demographics.
In summary, the highest percentage gap between two genders was seen in age group between 35 to 44 years: physical activities percent for male was about 40% while for female the figure was 52.5%. However, the percent of the male and female participants of physical activities for most aged group (65 and older group) was subtle around 46 to 47%. For rest of the aged group the difference between the percent involvements in physical activities were found to be in medium range around 6 to 10% difference.
While, in most of the aged group, female dominated the findings; however, for youngest population of Australia, proportion of male population was shown to have undertaken the activities more than that of female population.
