In the chart for the timeline of 1990 to 1995, it is clear that prices mostly decreased, namely in three cities. House price in New York decreased by 5% as compared to 1989 price. Both in Tokyo and London the house prices reduced by about 7%. However, Madrid and Frankfurt’s house prices increased a little, both around 2%.
Looking at the average house prices from 1996 to 2002, we see an almost opposite picture from the previous period. Four cities had considerable increase in the house price, London being in the leading position, about 12% increase in comparison with 1989. Prices in New York and Madrid increased about 5% and 4% respectively, whereas Frankfurt had a slight increase of 2%. Tokyo is the only city with a decrease in house price, which is 5%.
