1. You are attending a course at an evening school. Write a letter to the director of the school with a complaint about the course. In your letter, you should:
– Describe the course you are taking.
– Explain what you don’t like about the course.
– Give your opinion about what should be done about it.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter to express my dissatisfaction with regards to the English language course, to which I am currently enrolled, at your language-plus school.
I am farwah ahmad and currently pursuing a part-time course of advance level at your district. I have 2 lessons per day, each of 45 minutes and a total of 5 per week.
However, I am not satisfied with the course. On the first hand, the teacher focuses more on the transmission of theoretical knowledge instead of the practical aspect of the subject. For instance, course structure is such that, we are not given any exercises to practice even the fundamentals of the language, viz. grammar, conversation, and vocabulary.
I would suggest that instructor should allow group discussion regarding reading, writing, listening and speaking aspects of the language. Further to this, I would recommend that there must be a classroom response system so that learners can actively participate during the lecture.
I would be grateful if you could consider my suggestions.
regards,
