The pie chart below shows information about where coffee is produced, consumed and where is profit goes.
The pie charts illustrate a division of the production and consumption of coffee in particular regions, and how the profits are distributed.
Looking at the graph, it is immediately obvious that whilst South American was recorded to be the number one coffee-producing area, it is European that consumed that highest amount of coffee. Additionally, the majority of the profit earned from this industry goes to the shippers.
As far as coffee production is concerned, 44% of production coffee came from South American, making it the leading supplier of coffee worldwide. Only had a little difference among the three areas, namely Africa, Central American and Asia, with the numbers in turn 19%, 17% and 18%. Meanwhile, Oceania just constituted 2% of the total coffee production. Regarding coffee distribution, European was the country that used the most coffee, with the figures accounting for more than half, 55% specifically. By contrast, Japan and North American at only reached 7% and 11%, respectively. The remaining 27% belongs to other unknown regions.
Profits made from the production, transport and sale of coffee aren't evenly shared among all those involved in the process. Shippers who earned the most with 55% total of the profit, Sellers stood the second location with at 27%, while the rest of profit was divided for explorer and manufacturer at 7% and 11%, respectively.
