Environmental protection is the responsibility of politicians, not individuals as individuals can do too little. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Numerous people these days believed that authority is the only factor that engaged with environmental preservation. From my perspective, while the government play an important role in protecting the environment, each ordinary individual can also make a significant contribution
On the one hand, it is irrefutable that the government is taking the lead in preserving the ecosystem. First and foremost, several serious problems need the financial resources of the government. It seems to be true that the government is the only organization that can afford to purchase state-of-the-art technological devices and pay for experienced scientists. Moreover, there are long-term projects that need stability investigation from taxes and other fees. In the second place, the government can enforce legislation on environmental protection. By the way of illustration, the emission discharging from manufactories and households might be limited by prescribing the discharge level on specialized law. In addition, imposing strict punishments such as heavy fined or even imprisonment to the act of damaging the environment can also be a good case in point
Nevertheless, the responsibility of each citizen should not be underestimated. First of all, environmental problems can only be solved thoroughly with the cooperation of the authority and the population. If each individual had an awareness of protecting the environment, the situation would be much more easily. The deforestation, for instance, can never be eliminated when farmers keep cutting down trees to meet their demands, regardless of the administration's regulations. Secondly, there are a great number of people voluntarily spend their time to preserving the environment. Accumulating small actions can make a world of difference. This is shown by several beaches throughout the global now clean again thanks to the volunteers who even diving into the water to pick up trash
To sum up, while the government plays an important part in preserving the ecosystem thanks to its financial resources and the legislation systems, the contribution of each individual deserves honorable
